09 October 2020

BDO is pleased to announce the admission of a new firm in Thailand, holding the exclusive license to the country, commencing 2 October 2020.

This is the cumulation of the efforts of a group of like-minded professionals who have come together to form the new BDO in Thailand. They have aligned with the global vision ‘Its Time for BDO to Lead’ and will leverage the BDO brand to build the leading mid-market professional services firm in Thailand delivering real insight and expertise for its clients.  Together they have created a place where people can be exceptional.

This leadership team has an extensive track record in Partner roles within BDO and its competitors in building successful businesses and teams in Thailand and Australia. They have developed strong relationships with regulatory bodies and successfully worked in the Thai capital markets and with international businesses invested into Thailand.

Noel Ashpole has over 30 years’ experience in providing professional services across various leadership positions with our larger competitors in Thailand. She has extensive experience in leading audit quality across large firms and building successful parts of businesses.  Noel has been appointed Managing Partner and will also lead key aspects of Advisory.

Teerasak (Ko) Chuasrisakul has over 21 years’ experience providing audit and assurance services with international firms in Thailand.  Ko has a passion for ensuring the clients receive exceptional quality, through knowledgeable teams and technology. He has built relationships where he is known as a trusted advisor to his clients.  Ko will lead the Audit & Assurance Services.

Matt Cutt has over 16 years’ experience and is a former audit partner with BDO in Australia before transferring to BDO in Thailand. He is the firm’s International Liaison Partner and will play a key leadership role in participating in the BDO global growing business together strategy.

Peter Sheville has over 37 years’ experience in Australia, the UK, and Thailand and will head the Business Services and Outsourcing service line.  He has worked at the Partner level since 1995, developing strong audit, assurance, and accounting skills, as well as risk advisory and forensic expertise.

Noel Ashpole says: “As the new BDO in Thailand we will deliver exceptional services to clients, leveraging the global reach and expertise of the BDO organisation. The Thai market is rich with opportunity and we are excited to be working with our BDO peers across the region, especially ASEAN, and globally.  We are fully committed to the BDO Dream of ‘People helping People’ and I am very proud of our growing multidisciplinary and cross cultural team which is expected to reach 50+ people by early 2021.

Stephen Darley, BDO’s Regional CEO Asia Pacific, adds: “I am particularly proud to introduce the new BDO firm in Thailand noting the diversity of its founder partners including one of the few female managing partners in the region with over 25 years’ experience in Thailand.  This in-depth experience across the leadership team and its established reputation in the market and across BDO will deliver new paths for growth and success in Thailand.

The new firm’s ability to provide integrated solutions to its clients in the country will, when combined with BDO’s global reach, see business coming in from the wider Asia Pacific region and beyond.”
